Every Sage product is personally made by Lee in Perth. The range is produced in small batches and combines scented soy candles with colourful, decorative Jesmonite homewares. Variations in shade, marbling and surface texture are natural parts of the handmade process.
Jesmonite is a water-based, non-solvent composite material used to cast decorative objects. It creates a smooth, stone-like finish and can be coloured or marbled in many different ways. Sage Jesmonite pieces are intended for decorative use only and are not suitable for food or liquids.
It depends on the product:
- Candles, the Fluted Storage Jar, the Marbled Tray and the Love Teddy are made in small batches. The photograph shows the colour and style you can expect, but shades, marbling and decorative details may vary slightly.
- Wave Keepsake Trays are sold as individual pieces — the photographs for your selected option show the actual tray you will receive.
- Arch Shelves are individually poured to the same design, with subtle handmade variations from piece to piece.
Small air bubbles, shade changes and marbling differences are natural characteristics of hand-mixed and hand-poured Jesmonite, not faults.
Not at present — we don't currently offer custom blends or bespoke orders. The colours and fragrances shown on each product page are the full range currently available.

We use SoyaLuna, a professional-grade soy wax blend containing paraffin, chosen for its smooth finish and reliable fragrance performance. Our candles are made with a flat-braid textile-grade cotton wick, and fragrance oils that may contain a blend of naturally derived and synthetic ingredients. Each finished candle design has been burn-tested. Soy wax is vegan-friendly and biodegradable, providing a considered base for each of our hand-poured fragrances.
- Trim the wick to 6 mm before lighting.
- Keep the candle free of matches, wick trimmings and other foreign materials.
- Burn it only on a level, fire-resistant surface, away from draughts and vibrations.
- Keep it within sight and out of reach of children and pets.
- Never burn it on or near anything that can catch fire.
- Never burn any Sage candle for more than four hours at a time — some products have a shorter recommended limit, shown on the product page.
- Stop using the candle if the vessel becomes damaged.
Burning a decorative candle will naturally change its appearance. Always follow the safety label supplied with your candle.
Yes — the Jesmonite vessel can be kept as a decorative object, but it's porous and not suitable for food, liquids or immersion in water. Clean it by gently wiping with a dry or lightly damp microfibre cloth; avoid harsh cleaning products.

Ready-made orders are usually dispatched within two business days. We'll email you when your order has been posted, with the Australia Post tracking number.
We currently deliver to Australia and New Zealand using Australia Post. Standard delivery is a flat $15 per order.

Contact us as soon as possible at admin@sagedecorstudio.com.au with photographs of the item and its packaging. Please keep the item and packaging while we assess the damage. Where appropriate, we'll arrange a replacement or refund, including the original delivery charge.
We don't currently accept returns for change of mind, dislike of a selected fragrance, or the expected handmade variations described on the product page. This doesn't affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law if an item is faulty, damaged or not as described.
